CLASSROOM OF THE FUTURE
INVERTED CLASSROOM
The current vision of the classroom of the future involves the integration of modern communication technology and a change in the relation between the teacher and the students as well as between the students themselves. The learning environment shall be designed similar to the working environment that the students will find themselves in after school and thus prepare them for the working world. Students should work in groups as well as individually and their work will in many cases be project based.
Following criteria has been set for designing new classrooms:
- Easily adjustable, flexible furniture
- Access to internet
- Multiple outlets per table (incl. USB ports)
- Presentation devices to enable students to share their work with each other (interactive whiteboard, smartboard, projector)
- Combination of classroom and the cloud
